HOW TO GET THERE

By car

Reach the hamlet of Chateau Beaulard (Oulx), do not enter the village, but turn right and park where the road becomes unpaved. (MAPS).
Trail 715 begins a little further ahead on the right (signs for Rifugio Guido Rey – Passo dell’Orso – Bivacco Blanchetti) with a steep climb that ends in the meadows. Cross them and continue through the forest, passing in front of the Chapels of San Domenico and Santa Chiara.
Cross the stream over a beautiful wooden footbridge and ascend until you reach the dirt road, which shortly leads to the refuge.

50 minutes from the parking area.

by train

From Beaulard Station (Oulx), cross the river and follow the road leading to the village until you reach the start of trail 702. (MAPS)
Follow the dirt road entirely, ignoring the signs on the right for Free Vertical Rey and Grange Pleynet. In the final stretch, the trail from Chateau Beaulard intersects the road, and shortly after, you will reach the refuge. 1 hour and 30 minutes from the station.

Alternatively, from the station, you can reach the Beaulard campsite. (MAPS) From there, a trail starts shortly ahead leading to the hamlet of Chateau Beaulard. From that point, follow the same directions as for access by car. 1 hour and 45 minutes from the station.
